Mark was born in Glasgow, Kentucky and grew up in Hart County, Kentucky. He attended Centre College and received a B.A. in 1997. He received his Juris Doctor from Salmon P. chase College of Law in 2002 and was admitted to the Kentucky bar in 2003. Mark focuses his practice on family law (divorce, custody, guardianship, adoption, dependency/neglect/abuse) and estate planning (wills and trusts). 

He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals, and the US District Court, Eastern and Western Districts. Mark resides in Franklin County.
